For Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Chevrolet has teamed up with the American Cancer Society to support the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign. Knoepfler Chevrolet planned numerous activities to support this campaign both on a national and a local level.
Chevrolet is donating $5 to the American Cancer Society each time the hashtag #IDriveFor is used on Twitter and Instagram. Knoepfler Chevrolet encouraged customers to take a picture by their photo area and share who they drive for on their social media sites.
Locally, Knoepfler
Chevrolet is donating $1 to Susan G. Komen Siouxland for every new “Like” the
Knoepfler Chevrolet Facebook Page gets in October. To get the whole team involved, the dealership had a Pink Out Day on October 21, where all staff members wore pink #IDriveFor t-shirts. Employees could also wear jeans that day for a $5 donation in support of the Susan G. Komen Siouxland
organization.
"It was really neat having a 90 person staff dressed in pink t-shirts. We were flooded in pink that day with employees moving about their daily routines," says Heidi Connelly, Marketing Director for Knoepfler Chevrolet. "It has been fun to join together with our employees to support this cause. We hope our efforts help raise awareness about this disease."
