The Festival of Trees event is a fundraiser that benefits a local non-profit organization. Each year, a new organization is chosen with this year's being Welcome Home. In November, local businesses and community members decorate Christmas trees in the atrium of the HoChunk Center. The trees are fun to look at because each one is decorated uniquely. Some businesses choose to decorate theirs in relation to their business. For example, one year Knoepfler Chevrolet did a tree with a Chevy bow-tie as the tree topper and matchbox cars as the ornaments. Other organizations choose to decorate by a theme or another creative idea.
Spectators can bid on the trees while they are on display from November 20 - November 30, and then the Live Auction will take place on November 30 at 6:30 PM.
