Knoepfler Chevrolet Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Knoepfler Chevrolet started off the month by putting large pink ribbons up all over the dealership and small ribbons on the vehicle to show support.

Money was raised throughout the month in various ways. Anytime the hashtag #IDriveFor was used on Twitter or Instagram, Chevrolet donated $5 to the American Cancer Society. Locally, Knoepfler Chevrolet donated $1 to Susan G. Komen Siouxland for every new “Like” the Knoepfler Chevrolet Facebook Page received in October. On October 20, employees were able to wear jeans to work for a $5 donation which also went towards the Susan G. Komen Siouxland organization. On this same day, the entire staff wore pink t-shirts to work with the hashtag #IDriveFor on them.

"The dealership is already decked in pink with ribbons and promotional materials. After we added in a 90-person staff in pink-tshirts, our dealership was truly flooded in pink during our Pink Out Day with employees moving about their daily routines. Even our mechanics wore pink underneath their technician uniforms," stated Heidi Connelly, Marketing Director for Knoepfler Chevrolet. "It has been rewarding to join together with our employees to support this cause. We hope our efforts help raise awareness about this disease to our customers, our community and our staff."
